eSurveyCraze is for people in the U.S. who take paid surveys, or are thinking about it, and want the honest version: what the work pays, where the catches are, and which offers aren’t real.
Paid surveys exist. So do the scams that borrow their name. The real thing usually pays modestly, screens out a lot of people and asks for a fair amount of personal information. None of that is a reason to avoid it, but all of it is worth knowing before you spend your evenings on it.
What we write about
- Getting started: how survey panels make money, why you get screened out, how points and payouts work, and what survey income means at tax time.
- Beyond surveys: focus groups, interviews, at-home product tests and paid university research.
- Scams and privacy: fake survey texts and checks, what panels do with your data, and apps that pay for your shopping or browsing history.
How we put guides together
We lean on primary sources: the Federal Trade Commission for scams and advertising rules, the IRS for tax questions, federal research-protection rules for university studies, and the published terms of the programs we describe. We use AI tools to help research and draft, and we check the facts and figures in each guide against those sources before it’s published. When a number changes, such as a tax reporting threshold, we update the guide.
What we don’t do
We don’t run a survey panel, and we don’t earn referral or sign-up fees from any survey site, app or research company. We don’t rank panels, and we don’t publish sponsored posts. We aren’t tax or financial advisers, so for decisions about your own taxes, talk to a professional.
